Booke AI is invited into your QuickBooks Online or Xero file, categorizes bank feeds daily, matches documents, chases missing paperwork and leaves you an exception list with an audit trail. It does not move your ledger and does not employ bookkeepers on your behalf. A white-label version is sold to accounting firms at custom pricing. This is the cleanest example of the augmentation model: cheap, reversible, and it keeps the accountant in the loop.
Who it is for
Choose Booke AI if: A business already on QuickBooks Online or Xero that wants the categorization and document-chasing work automated without changing systems or hiring a service.
Look elsewhere if: No humans included; if the exception queue goes unreviewed, nothing happens, or if any of the limitations below are load-bearing for your business.

Strengths
- Does not touch your ledger — install, evaluate, and remove it without a migration either way
- Supports both QuickBooks Online and Xero, which several better-funded competitors do not
- Exception review with an audit trail is the right interaction model for accounting work
- At $129/mo it is roughly a third the price of the cheapest AI + human service with a dedicated team
Limitations
- No humans included; if the exception queue goes unreviewed, nothing happens
- No AP, AR, payroll, sales tax or tax filing — this is categorization and matching only
- No published accuracy data or independent testing
- Firm pricing is entirely quote-based
