AI bookkeeping software finder
Nine questions. A ranked shortlist from 21 products, every score explained, and every excluded product shown with the reason it was ruled out.
Runs entirely in your browser — nothing is sent anywhere, and there is no email gate. Product data verified September 4, 2026.
What this tool does not do
It does not rank on quality, because nobody — us included, yet — has independently measured the accuracy of these products. It matches your stated constraints against verified product facts. Treat the shortlist as the list worth doing demos with, not as a verdict. Our benchmark programme is the part that will eventually measure quality.
How the scoring works
| Criterion | Weight | What it measures |
|---|---|---|
| Platform fit | 25 | Whether it works with the ledger you have, or replaces it when you said you were open to that. |
| Human involvement | 25 | Distance between the level of human ownership you asked for and what the product includes. |
| Budget fit | 20 | Published entry price against your budget. Unpublished pricing scores low, on purpose. |
| Buyer type & complexity | 20 | Whether the product was designed for your situation or merely tolerates it. |
| Needs coverage | 10 | Share of your stated requirements the vendor documents. |
How does the finder decide?
It applies six hard filters (buyer type, platform lock-in, transaction volume ceiling, entity count, and any capability you marked required) and then scores what survives on five weighted criteria: platform fit, human-involvement fit, budget fit, buyer-type and complexity fit, and needs coverage. Every point is attached to a sentence explaining it, and every excluded product is shown with the reason it was excluded.
Does an affiliate relationship affect my results?
No, and it cannot: the scoring module does not import the affiliate module at all, and we currently have no affiliate relationship with any vendor listed. See our disclosure page.
Why does it show excluded products?
Because "why not X" is usually more useful than "here is Y". If a product you had in mind is filtered out, you should see the specific constraint that removed it — sometimes the right answer is to relax the constraint.
Is the score a quality rating?
No. It is a fit score against the answers you gave. A product scoring 40 is not worse than one scoring 80; it is a worse match for you. Product quality is a separate question we do not pretend to have measured — see our benchmark programme.
